Hello folks, Anyone have a dream to see their Dream destination at least once. I was living in Delhi, which is near about 250 Kms away from Agra where my dream monument situated "The Taj Mahal". But i had visited first time in 2014 at the age of 22 years. Taj mahal is in the 1st Position of list "7 Wonders of the world". But in Agra there are many more attractions waiting for you.
Agra is located in Indian State Uttar Pradesh in India. Agra is the major tourist attraction due to Mughal era buildings like Fatehpur Sikri, Agra fort and The Taj Mahal. All are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Agra is also the part of Golden Triangle Tour of Indian as same as Delhi and Jaipur. so let’s explore.
How to Reach Agra?
Nearest Airport to Agra is Delhi Airport which is 250 Kms away from Agra but easily connected with Agra Delhi Expressway Highway.
From Jaipur to Agra by cab, from Delhi to Agra by Expressway Highway.
From Delhi and nearby other states there are so many bus running. You can book your bus online.
Places to See in Agra
Agra is one of the Most visited place in the World. Domestic and International Both tourists are visiting Most of winter time between September to March. Lets Explore:
Taj Mahal is a Marble (White) Mausoleum in Agra on the bank of river Yamuna. It was built by Shah jahan who was the Mughal Emperor in 1632 to his favourite wife. It is the jewel of Mughal art and universally admired masterpiece in the world. It was built by using Makrana's (a place in rajasthan) White marble which is very very far from Agra.
Tajmahal Construction was began around 1631 and took 17 yr in 1648 it was completed. It is also a symbol of love and a place looks like a heaven on Earth. Beautiful Architecture and artwork you can see each and every piece of this Monument. It is too huge and magnificent that is unable to describe in words. There is a Garden and fountain on the front of Taj mahal. Beautiful view of Yamuna River makes Taj Mahal more beautiful.
Agra fort is situated in Agra and a historic fort. It was the main residence of Mughal emperors. It was built by Akbar who was the most famous emperor of Mughal dynasty. This Fort is covered around 94 acres of Area and built in 1565 to 1573 with Islamic architecture style and was ruled by Lodi dynasty, Mughal Empire, Sur Empire, Maratha Empire and British Empire. It is also known as Red fort of Agra. It was also the capital of Mughal Sultanate now also a main attraction of Agra.
Itmad ud daula is also known as 'jewel box' is actually a Mausoleum built in 1628 in Agra and built by Noorjehan in the memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. It is situated in Moti bagh area in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. It is built with 4 towers at 4 edges and 1 Tomb in the mid also made by using white marbles.
Tomb of Akbar
Tomb of Akbar is the Tomb of Mughal emperor Akbar, which built by Jahangir in 1605 to 1613 which is situated in Sikandara in the mid of Agra and Delhi. Architecture and artwork is great, if you are an art of stone lover then you need to come once.
Fatehpur Sikri is near about 40 kms away from Agra and UNESCO World Heritage site also. There are so many things to See like Tomb of Salim Chishti which is a pilgrimage place, Buland Darwaza the entry gate to enter, Jama Masjid, Jodha bhai Palace, Fatehpur Sikri Fort, Panch Mahal, House of Birbal, Palace of birbal, Turkish Sultana's House, Pachisi Court where Mubhgal emperor taking their most of decisions (also known as Diwan i Am), Diwan E Khas, Sufi Saint Salim Tomb built with White marbles, Khwabgah a royal Bed room, Tansen chabutra, Astrologers Seat etc.
There are other so many things to see in Agra like Moti Masjid, Tomb of Mariam uz Zamani, Chini ka Roza, Mehrab bagh, Anguri Bagh, Shri mankameshwar mandir Agra, Taj Museum, the Shish Mahal, Palace of Jahangir, Nagina Masjid etc.

You can do a bicycle ride and Mughal heritage walk in the old streets of Agra.
Cuisine of Agra
Because of Agra have many emperors from Mughal to Hindu, it has a rich cuisine culture. Few dishes yuu need to try are Dalmoth, Petha, Paratha, Mughlai Food, Chaat, Tandoori Chicken, Jalebi, Shawarna, Paneer tikka etc.
